Wipro Interview Experience ( On Campus )

Hello Readers, I would like to share my own Interview Experience here for Wipro On Campus Placement Drive. Hope this helps you get a clear understanding.

About Wipro :

Wipro Limited is an Indian multinational corporation that provides information technology, consulting, and business process services. It is headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. In 2013, Wipro separated its non-IT businesses and formed the privately-owned Wipro Enterprises.

My Experience :

Wipro had come to our campus on the 10th and 11th of September, 2019.

It consisted of the following sections, divided into 2 days:

1st day:

1) Wipro Conducted -PPT Preplacement talk as usual

2) Online Test

2nd day:

Technical/HR Interview

The best part of Wipro is that they allowed students with an aggregate above 80% to take part directly in the Interview!! Unfortunately, I missed it by 1%!

Though I don't regret it because I cleared the aptitude test, which doubled the joy :')

So let's start with the recruitment process...

1st day:

Wipro -PPT Preplacement talk

Wipro preplacement talk was the best! It made us determined and competent. They asked few questions in between and made it an interesting one. They explained in detail what all sectors Wipro works in.

Following that was the written test. IT and non-IT branch students had a different set. Since I was a non-IT student, my written test consisted only of aptitude and verbal reasoning with passages and a few synonyms and antonyms.

The online test consisted of 2 sections:

  1. Aptitude
  2. Verbal reasoning.

I don't remember exactly how many questions were there (around 40-45).

We got a minute and a few more sections to answer the aptitude questions whereas verbal reasoning questions were given less than a minute per question. Important thing is that you cannot go to the next question before answering the current one. So u have to be fast and try to answer as quickly as possible. There was no negative marking.

For the aptitude part, Quantitative aptitude by R.S.Aggarwal is perfect. Verbal reasoning questions depend on your communication skills and your pace. Not to mention the long passages for comprehension.

Within an hour after the test, they announced the result. A little less than 60% of the students cleared the aptitude round, I was one of them :)

Since it was late in the evening by then, they asked us to come the next day at 9:30 am.

2nd day:

I reached my campus by 9:30 am. All the selected candidates were given a form to fill wherein they ask you about your strengths, weaknesses, why Wipro, etc., etc. U need to fill this form carefully as this form goes to the panel during your interview.

After that, all of us were given an essay to write. The time limit was 10 mins. The topic given was 'How can you improve the world'

I don't think that was an elimination round. During the interview, the HR just refers through it. My tip is to use good vocabulary and present it neatly.

After this was my Technical cum HR round.

When I entered the room, the panel smiled at me, which increased my confidence level.

She asked me to tell her about myself. I had prepared very well for this question. She was impressed. Here they just check your confidence level.

Then asked about my strengths and weaknesses as I had mentioned in the form. If you have done any project, the next question would be about that. Since I hadn't done any projects she continued with a few technical questions. She asked me what my strength in academics and I said it is Logic design. She asked me to solve a Boolean expression which was pretty simple! … Followed by a C program on factorial using recursive function. Then she asked me a few more common interview questions like.. difference between C and C++, strut and union, and so on.

Answer cool, confidentially :)

Then she gave me a scenario and asked me mine though about it. The Interview lasted about 15-20 minutes and then she said she's done with my interview, I asked her for feedback and she said I was too good! :) And I was selected!

Some students had a separate HR round as well. And some others were asked a question such as s Poisson distribution, Flemings thumb rule, etc. So be prepared to answer technical questions and be confident.

All the Best! :)
